CORIANDER began in 2001 as an adventure in fashion and global flair. We opened our first location, the Guelph store, when we were making our own clothing out of Bali, Indonesia and selling to other stores across North America. The Guelph store was our first retail outlet for our coriander brand. Our trips abroad to visit our suppliers afforded us the opportunity to fill shipping containers with treasures we found in our travels and to bring them back to the Guelph community. Our focus has always been to fill our store with merchandise that is both beautiful and unique while at the same time supporting artisans and small producers across the globe. The store expanded its offerings over the next decade as we closed down our own clothing production but continued to source from other talented designers.
While we have certainly changed our look over the years, our mandate to find unique merchandise has never faltered. By traveling exten-sively in the search for products that we know would appeal to our Coriander community, we keep the stores stocked with exceptional gifts, jewellery, and clothing with a focus on colour, natural fabrics, and artistic flair. The clothing lines we have chosen are designed to flatter and make you feel fabulous. We have a weakness for accessories and we are well-known for our extensive selection of beautiful scarves and hats. Not stopping there... we stock handcrafted jewellery, funky socks and footwear, meaningful cards, aromatic soaps, inspirational rugs, cozy slippers, perfect denim, shabby chic furniture and home accents, colourful totes, cuddly toys, artistic baskets, lotions and potions & more.
In May 2011, we celebrated our 10th anniversary as an independent retailer. Then in September 2011, we expanded our Guelph clothing store by opening our adjoining home & gift boutique. In June 2014, took a brave leap forward and opened our second store, Coriander Life,at 83 Hurontario in Collingwood, Ontario. The reception was so warm that we decided to open our third store right across the street from Life at 78 Hurontario, Coriander Style. All three stores enjoy being part of a vibrant downtown community and attract very nice customers who are looking for something unusual, beautiful, and with meaning.
We love what we do and hope that it shows. You are invited to visit us at any of our locations and we will strive to make your experience with us well worth the trip.
